$99 Million Heading to the Shore — And This Is Just the Start
Hey Folks,
I was digging into some of the latest updates across South Jersey, and this is one of those moments where you can really see things starting to line up.
We’re talking about a $99 million investment heading to our beaches — the kind of funding that protects the shoreline and keeps everything moving in the right direction.
This latest push, tied to federal support and the Army Corps, focuses on beach replenishment projects across South Jersey. And if you’ve spent any real time down here, you already know — when the beaches are strong, everything else follows.

And there’s more on the table…
There’s another $70 million potentially coming next year, with Atlantic City expected to be included. That’s not small — that’s long-term protection for the engine that drives the Shore economy.
I’ve walked those beaches before and after storms, in-season and off-season. When the sand is right, when the shoreline looks good — people show up. And when people show up, everything else comes alive.
🏗️ Atlantic City Development Is on the Move
And this is where it all starts to connect… because it’s not just the beaches.
We’re seeing real infrastructure investment happening across Atlantic City right now.
✔️ Pacific Avenue is getting a full repaving — a major project announced by the city and NJDOT that’s going to clean up one of the main corridors running through town.

✔️ Boardwalk repairs totaling around $50 million are continuing — and if you’ve been out there recently, you can see the progress.
✔️ Beach replenishment + roadway improvements + Boardwalk upgrades — that’s not random. That’s a city lining things up the right way.
Places like Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City, and Resorts Casino Hotel all benefit when the surrounding infrastructure is strong — and so do the ACNJ residents local businesses, workers, and visitors coming into town.
If you know, you know… when Atlantic City is investing in itself like this, it’s usually a sign of what’s coming next.
And here’s something I think is worth pointing out — because you don’t always see this.
Mayor Marty Small and Congressman Jeff Van Drew have built a working relationship that’s clearly producing results for Atlantic City.
I’ve heard both of them say it more than once — relationships matter in public service. And when you look at what’s happening right now between beach replenishment, road improvements, and Boardwalk investment… it’s hard to argue with that.
This is what it looks like when people stay focused on getting things done for the community.
🥊 What This Means for the Season
And I’ve seen it firsthand — when the beaches are right and the Boardwalk is buzzing, that energy spills into everything else happening in town.
- 🎤 Big shows and concerts ramping up at Boardwalk Hall
- 🥊 Fight nights and boxing cards returning across Atlantic City venues
- 🎰 Packed weekends inside the casinos as we head into peak season
If you’re looking for things to do in Atlantic City, this is the kind of setup you want heading into spring and summer.
Bottom line? This isn’t just one project — it’s momentum.
The beaches are being reinforced. The roads are being improved. The Boardwalk is getting the attention it deserves.
Atlantic City isn’t standing still — it’s positioning itself.
And if you’ve been waiting for the right time to get back down here… this might be it.
