Happening This Morning: Join Us at Harrah’s as Atlantic City Packs 60,000 Meals

Hey Folks,

If you’re reading this first thing this morning (Tuesday, July 28th, 2026), there’s still time to be part of one of the most inspiring community events happening anywhere in South Jersey today.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., hundreds of volunteers will gather at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City for the Street Love Feeds 60,000 meal-packing event. Together, we’ll assemble 60,000 nutritious meals that will be distributed to families and individuals facing food insecurity throughout South Jersey and the Philadelphia region.

I’ll be there this morning volunteering until about 11:00–11:30 a.m., so if you’re coming out, please stop by and say hello. I’d love to meet you and thank you personally for supporting such an incredible cause.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

If you’ve listened to my radio show over the years, you know I believe the best stories aren’t always the biggest headlines. Sometimes they’re about ordinary people rolling up their sleeves to help someone they’ve never met.

That’s exactly what the Street Love Foundation has been doing since it was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as delivering meals and essential supplies to people experiencing homelessness has grown into a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to providing food, clothing, hygiene products, and hope to our neighbors in need.

Today’s event is another example of what can happen when a community comes together with one shared purpose—to make a difference.

I want to recognize Church by the Bay and Pastor Lou Strugala for their continued commitment to serving our community alongside Street Love Foundation. Their dedication to helping others reflects the very best of South Jersey, and their partnership continues to make a meaningful impact on so many lives.

I’d also like to thank Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City for once again opening its doors to host this amazing event and everyone volunteering their time this morning.
