The Insider’s Night Out: Atlantic City’s Rare Beer Secret Session

You know I love when Atlantic City does something a little different… and this one is for the true beer lovers. The 20th and final year of the Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival is kicking off with a special “secret session” — and trust me, this one’s got that insider vibe all over it.

Before the big weekend at the Atlantic City Convention Center, they’re hosting a Rare Beer Fest on April 10 from 7–10pm at the always-cool Anchor Rock Club. And this isn’t your average tasting.

We’re talking just 350 people in the room.
Twenty-five rare, small-batch, cellar-aged, casked, weird, wild, and almost impossible-to-find beers.

And the best part? The brewers are pouring them themselves — telling the stories behind every sip. That’s my kind of night.

They’re also bringing in fresh-shucked oysters from Ludlam Bay and bites from Cardinal — which if you haven’t been yet, you should fix that immediately. Great vibe, great food.

Then the full Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival takes over the Convention Center on April 11 for two sessions — noon to 4 and 6 to 10. Over 100 breweries. Live music. Food demos. Wing battles. Games. Silent Disco. Hatchet throwing. The whole thing.

Session one features Bayside, and session two brings in The Starting Line. They’re going out strong.

If you’ve ever thought about going, this is the year. It’s the 20th and final run of one of Atlantic City’s most iconic festivals. These are the kind of weekends that define the best Things to do in Atlantic City — especially when the Shore starts waking up for the season.
