AC ↔ NYC: From Emails to Action — Now I Want Your Take
Hey Folks,
So let me pull you in a little closer on something I’ve been working on behind the scenes with some of my compadres from NYC . This isn’t just an idea anymore—this is conversations happening, emails going out, and doors starting to open between Atlantic City and New York City.
And I’ll tell you straight… it different this time we have real time traction.
Over the past few days, I’ve been reaching out directly to leaders up in NYC—folks on the council level to name few a leader in the project with me Frank Morano, Staffer Frank Fontaino, community voices, decision-makers, business men and woman, event planners—and putting something real on the table: what we are calling our “Borough to Boardwalk” initiative.
Here’s the heart of it…
We start with Staten Island and Atlantic City—two waterfront communities that don’t always get the spotlight but have grit, history, and a whole lot of pride. There’s a natural connection there. Always has been.
The idea is simple, but powerful:
A partnership that brings the two together through tourism, small business collaboration, and cultural exchange.
I’m talking about things like pop-up events in both locations, shared marketing, large scale events, music, restaurant tours, youth programs, and even a kickoff “Twin Destinations Weekend” to launch it the right way. Something fun, something real, experiences activities / experience’s that gets people moving between both places.
And here’s what I’m seeing…
When I send these communications out and start these conversations, people are responding. They’re interested. They’re open. We’re now working on locking in meetings—with multiple NYC council members looking to sit down and hear the full vision.
That’s how this starts.
Not with hype—but with real conversations and people willing to lean in.
But like I always say… this is bigger than meetings and proposals.
This is about Atlantic City.
It’s about creating more opportunities, more energy, more reasons for people to come experience everything we already know makes this place special. The restaurants, the boardwalk, the events, the people… all the real “Things to do in Atlantic City” that deserve a bigger spotlight.
And if this works with NYC?
There’s no reason we stop there.
This could stretch up and down the East Coast—city to city, community to community—bringing more visibility and momentum back to AC.
So now I’m asking you—
Do you like this idea?
Would you actually take that trip—AC to NYC or NYC to AC for a weekend event?
What would make something like this exciting enough for you to show up?
Hit me back and let me know. I read every message, and your feedback matters more than you think.
Because this isn’t just my idea…
It’s something we can build together.
Live-Work-Play-AC!
See you on the 48
