Atlantic City vs. New York: AC Isn’t Backing Down — We’re Doubling Down
Hey Folks,
So yeah… New York is coming in hot with these massive casino projects. Billions of dollars, huge venues, everything designed to keep people close to home. I told you about it — and it’s real.
But here’s what I want you to understand…
Atlantic City isn’t sitting around worried.
We’re responding.
And we’re doing it the AC way.
According to what’s being talked about locally , the casinos and leadership here are focused on making the entire city better — cleaner streets, safer Boardwalk, improved lighting, upgraded infrastructure, and pushing redevelopment where it matters.
That’s important.
Because what AC is building right now isn’t just competition — it’s a better overall experience.
And let me tell you why that matters…
New York can build big resorts. No doubt.
But they don’t have:
- The Boardwalk with the ocean right there
- A full beach day and nightlife in one trip
- Walkable casinos, bars, and entertainment all in one stretch
- That energy you feel the second you hit town
Places like Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Ocean, Borgata — they’re not just casinos, they’re full experiences. And now the push is to make everything around them match that same level.
That’s how you win.
You don’t try to copy New York…
You remind people why AC is different.
And if you really want to see everything happening — the events, the shows, the spots people are talking about — I’ve got one place for you:
That’s where I keep everything updated. Real local perspective, real things to do in Atlantic City, no fluff — just what’s actually worth your time when you come down.
Bottom line?
New York is building casinos.
Atlantic City is building an experience.
And if you ask me… that’s a fight I like our chances in.
Live-Work-Play-AC!
See you on the 48

Hi Mike, I live in NY. I still would go to AC, I’ve been going for years. I’ve been to a few casino’s in the NY area and there not the same. I enjoy getting out of the city and I love the boardwalk. Thanks for all you do…
My issue is and always will be , I miss the old AC. I know I know, you all say stop living the past. But why not, what’s wrong with that. I think X amount and a lot will tell you they miss the family side of AC not gambling. But gambling is where the $$$$$$$ is so that’s that. I don’t come hardly anymore because I hate gambling and all the newness.Do not like shows, booze bar’s and I DRINK. I have come to AC as a kid about every year, not so much since the rise of casino’s. STOP calling that pier Steel Pier as it is NOT.

nothing new york does will ever compare to Atlantic City !!
I was born in NY and in some ways NY is great. For example Yankee Stadium, Broadway, etc. However, AC is unique and exciting in so many ways. Beach, casinos, top notch entertainment, AC lifestyle. And, you can do it all in AC. Btw, AC is cost effective to travel to from Forked River. And, no crazy NY traffic. Btw, thank you for keeping all of us updated on the what’s going on in AC. I will be AC and will bring visiting relatives whi never been in AC.
I love Atlantic City! Love the Beach & the Boardwalk, the Restaurants and Casinos, and the luxurious Hotel Rooms, especially in the Tropicana!!!
