AC Mike’s Labor Day Weekend Playbook: September 4–6 in Atlantic City & Down the Shore

Hey Folks,

Labor Day Weekend is here, and if you’re looking for things to do in Atlantic City and down the South Jersey Shore from Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, you’ve got plenty of choices. Atlantic City has everything from Ricardo Montaner at Boardwalk Hall and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias at Borgata to FISHER taking over HQ2 Beachclub, while Ventnor is filling Ski Beach with food trucks and live music and Ocean City is putting Eagles fans right on the Boardwalk. And if you feel like heading farther south, Wildwood is basically throwing one long goodbye-to-summer party. This is one of those weekends where you really don’t need much of a plan — you just need to pick a direction.

Beatles vs. Stones: Pick Your Side at Borgata

Here’s one that caught my eye. Beatles Vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown hits the Music Box at Borgata at 7:30 p.m. Friday. You know the argument: Beatles or Stones? This show leans right into it, putting the music of two of the most important bands in rock history head-to-head. This is an easy pick if you want a concert without committing to a massive arena show, and the Music Box is a good room for something like this. Event Info & Tickets

Atlantic City Still Has Room for the Smaller Music Scene

One of the things I always want to remind people about Atlantic City is that there’s more happening here than casino headliners. Anchor Rock Club has Little Lies, a Fleetwood Mac tribute, Friday night with doors at 7:30 p.m. and the show at 8:30 p.m. Then the room flips over for a free 21+ late-night Studio 54-style disco and freestyle vinyl set with DJ Dino the Barber beginning at 11 p.m. On Saturday, Anchor keeps going with a free 90s & 2000s House Party with DJ KJ Butta at 9 p.m. That’s the kind of Atlantic City night I like — see a show, stay out late, and support one of the independent venues helping give the city some personality away from the casino floor. FISHER Turns HQ2 Into a Labor Day Weekend Dayclub

If your idea of Saturday starts a little louder, FISHER takes over HQ2 Beachclub at Ocean Casino Resort at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5. The Grammy-nominated Australian tech-house producer has gone from clubs to major festivals around the world, and this is one of the weekend’s biggest daytime parties in Atlantic City. Labor Day Weekend and the HQ2 pool scene usually go together pretty well, so if this is your thing, I’d make plans before Saturday morning instead of deciding at the last minute. Fluffy Gives Atlantic City Two Chances to Laugh Saturday

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is at the Borgata Event Center Saturday with two performances, at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Iglesias has become one of the biggest touring comedians in the country, and two shows on the same Saturday tells you something about the audience he brings. If you want to make a full night of it, the early show leaves you plenty of time for dinner or a walk around town afterward, while the 8:30 show gives you the more traditional Saturday-night option. The Hook Gives You Another Option All Weekend

If you haven’t seen The Hook at Caesars yet, Labor Day Weekend gives you several chances. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday. It’s one of the more unusual permanent entertainment offerings in Atlantic City — part comedy, part variety show and part spectacle — and it works especially well for somebody coming into town who wants something different from a standard concert or casino night. Sunday Afternoon Yacht Rock at Ocean

If you’d rather close the weekend on the mellow side, Boat House Row: A Yacht Rock Experience plays Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 6. Think Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, Steely Dan and Toto — the polished late-70s and early-80s sound that somehow became cool all over again. Sunday afternoon, ocean views outside, yacht rock inside…that sounds like a pretty good South Jersey Sunday to me. This is also the final scheduled Sunday performance of the summer run. Ventnor Is Going All-In on Food Trucks

Just down the road from Atlantic City, Ventnor’s first annual Food Truck Festival takes over Ski Beach at Dorset and Burk Avenues for all three days. Hours are 3–9 p.m. Friday, 3–9 p.m. Saturday and 3–6 p.m. Sunday, with more than a dozen food vendors scheduled. And Saturday gets even better: Ventnor’s final Sunset Concert of the summer brings The Usual Suspects to Ski Beach at 6:30 p.m. You can grab something to eat, bring a chair or blanket and stick around for live music as the sun goes down. Friday Morning Is Your Last Shot at the Ventnor Farmers Market

Before the food trucks get going, Friday morning is also the final Ventnor City Farmers Market of the 2026 season. The market runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Atlantic and Newport Avenues and brings together Jersey Fresh produce, seafood, baked goods, prepared foods, local makers and small businesses. This is exactly the kind of event that visitors sometimes miss while chasing the big attractions. Go grab breakfast, walk around, buy something local and then hit the beach. Ocean City Turns the Boardwalk Eagles Green

Ocean City is getting ready for football season a week early. At noon Sunday, September 6, Eagles fans are invited to a Philadelphia Eagles Boardwalk Pep Rally Parade running from Fifth Street to 14th Street. An Eagles alum, SWOOP and the Eagles Cheerleaders are scheduled to participate, and fans can join the parade with Eagles-decorated bicycles and golf carts. Participation is free, although registration is required for anyone entering the parade. Wildwood Is Throwing a Full Weekend Goodbye to Summer

If you’re heading south, Wildwood has enough going on to fill an entire day. Friday night Boardwalk fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m. from the beach at Pine Avenue. Saturday starts with the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market from 8 a.m.–12:30 p.m., followed by the free Labor Day Weekend Boardwalk Craft Show from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and a free Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series concert featuring the Meghan Knight Band at 7 p.m. The craft show returns Sunday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m., but the big finish is Wildwood’s free End of Summer Block Party at Fox Park from 1–10 p.m. Sunday, featuring food and craft vendors, kids activities and continuous live music, capped by Tavares at 9:15 p.m. If you want one place where you can just show up and wander around for hours, Wildwood has you covered. One More Summer Weekend — Use It

Labor Day Weekend always feels like somebody is trying to blow the whistle on summer, but around here we know better. The ocean is still there Monday morning. The Boardwalk isn’t disappearing. Restaurants, musicians, small businesses and local neighborhoods don’t suddenly shut down because somebody turned the calendar to September. So don’t worry about doing everything on this list. Pick one thing. Go somewhere you haven’t been. Walk the Boardwalk. Hear a local band. Grab something from a food truck or farmers market. Bring somebody with you. There’s a lot happening around Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore this weekend — go enjoy some of it.
