AC Mike’s Weekend Update: Fall at the Shore Is Loaded!
Hey Folks,
October is here, and the Jersey Shore is definitely not slowing down. This is one of those fall weekends where you can go in almost any direction and find something worth doing.
Atlantic City has a monster live-entertainment lineup, Wildwood has vintage hot rods racing on the beach plus Italian food and Oktoberfest, Ocean City has Jeeps and a major race weekend, Smithville is going all-in on Oktoberfest, and Cape May has a great Sunday option if you want to slow things down a little.
Atlantic City: Phish Takes Over Boardwalk Hall
Phish is in Atlantic City for three nights at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, Friday through Sunday at 7 p.m. A three-night run like this means plenty of fans in town all weekend and extra energy on the Boardwalk. See Phish show and ticket details.
Friday Night in AC: Doobie Brothers, Trey Songz & Ashanti — and More
The Doobie Brothers bring their Walk This Road Tour to Hard Rock Live Friday at 8 p.m. See Hard Rock show information.
Trey Songz and Ashanti are at Ocean’s Ovation Hall at 9 p.m. #IMOMSOHARD: The Flashback Tour is at Borgata’s Music Box at 9 p.m., and The Disco Biscuits play a late-night Tropicana show at 11:59 p.m. Browse this weekend’s Atlantic City shows.

See the AC weekend entertainment lineup.
Wildwood: The Race of Gentlemen
This is one you have to see. The Race of Gentlemen brings vintage hot rods and motorcycles onto the Wildwood sand near Morey’s Piers. Saturday and Sunday racing is scheduled from 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with bracket racing, vintage vehicles, food, drinks and live music. Saturday night has the TROG Beach Party at Pigdog beginning at 7 p.m.; Sunday includes more racing and the awards ceremony.
This year the National Woodie Club is also the special guest, with roughly 50–60 vintage wood-bodied cars expected along the Boardwalk. See the full TROG schedule and event information.
Wildwood: Olde Tyme Italian Festival
The 22nd Annual Olde Tyme Italian Festival is at Fox Park Friday from 5–10 p.m. and Saturday from noon–10 p.m. Admission is free. Expect Italian food, live entertainment, vendors and plenty of Italian heritage — sausage and peppers, pasta, chicken cutlets, cannoli, zeppole and more. Get Italian Festival details.
Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest at Morey’s Piers runs all weekend at Mariner’s Pier. Admission to the celebration is free; rides require tickets or a wristband. Whatever you choose, get out there and enjoy the Shore. There’s still plenty happening after Labor Day.
