Atlantic City Is Changing — Meet the People Making It Happen
Hey Folks,
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know how much I love Atlantic City.
We talk a lot about the Boardwalk, the casinos, the restaurants, the shows and all the great things to do in Atlantic City. But what really makes this city special is something bigger: the people who work every day to make Atlantic City a better place to live, work and raise a family.
That’s why I’m proud to serve on the Advisory Board of the Atlantic City Community Fund, and I want to personally invite you to join me for the 2026 Atlantic City Community Fund Reception.
Tuesday Night at Hard Rock
The reception takes place Tuesday, September 15, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Backstage Café inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
This isn’t just another reception on the Atlantic City events calendar. It’s an opportunity to bring together people who care about this town and recognize individuals and organizations making a real difference here.
The Atlantic City Community Fund was created to strengthen our community by supporting local nonprofit organizations and encouraging philanthropy, collaboration and investment right here in Atlantic City.
And I can tell you, there’s real work behind that mission.
Organizations supported by the Fund are working in education, youth programs, community services, arts and culture, recreation, neighborhood improvement and more. These are organizations that are out there every day helping our kids, our families and our neighbors.
That’s the Atlantic City story I always want more people to hear.
I’ll Be Talking With ACCF President Evan Sanchez
I’m also looking forward to having Atlantic City Community Fund President Evan Sanchez on the AC Mike Radio Show.
Evan and I will talk about what the Fund does, where the support goes and why this reception matters. Then, on Monday, September 14 — the day before the event — I’ll have Evan back with me live from Hard Rock as we get ready for Tuesday night.
You can hear the AC Mike Radio Show from noon to 1:00 p.m. on WOND 1400 AM and 92.3 FM. You can also listen to the AC Mike Radio Show online here.
And Evan and I have already had a chance to go a lot deeper on some of these subjects. About a month ago, he joined me for Episode 2 of The AC Mike Show Podcast, where we sat down for a long-form conversation about Atlantic City, entrepreneurship, the Orange Loop, small business, community development, philanthropy and why we both believe so strongly in this city. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
If you missed that conversation, watch my full podcast conversation with Evan Sanchez here. It’ll also give you a pretty good idea why I’m looking forward to continuing the conversation with him on the radio.
If you’ve listened to my radio show, you know I’d much rather have a conversation with the people actually doing the work than simply read you a press release. I want you to hear firsthand what’s happening and why it matters.
