Atlantic City’s Billion-Dollar Comeback Is Happening Right Now
Hey Folks,
I’ve been telling people for years that Atlantic City still has stories left to write — and now the developers, investors, city leadership, and national builders are finally saying the same thing out loud.
This past week at the development conference inside the incredible Island Waterpark at Showboat Resort Atlantic City, some of the biggest names in regional and national real estate gathered to talk about what’s happening right now in AC.
And let me tell you… this energy feels different.
You had leaders from all over the region in the room — developers, city officials, tourism leaders, and people who understand what Atlantic City can become over the next decade.
Guys like Bart Blatstein, Brian Zoubek (Zoubek Properties), and national builders including K. Hovnanian and Kushner Companies aren’t just talking anymore… they’re building.
Developers from Philadelphia, North Jersey, and beyond are pouring tens of millions into new housing, townhomes, entertainment, and mixed-use projects all across Atlantic City — especially in areas like the Inlet and Midtown.
One quote that really stood out came directly from Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.
“What we are accomplishing under this Administration is nothing short of extraordinary… No matter what challenges exist beyond Atlantic City, we control our destiny and we will continue to prosper, grow, and move forward…”
That’s the mindset right now in this city.
And honestly? You can feel it.
Developer Brian Zoubek — the former Duke basketball standout now investing heavily in Atlantic City — called AC “the last affordable shore town.”
He’s not wrong.
You look around South Jersey right now and places like Margate, Ventnor, Ocean City, and Cape May are hotter than ever. But Atlantic City still has room to grow. There’s land here. There’s infrastructure. There’s nightlife. There’s entertainment. And there’s still opportunity.
The city already gives you world-class entertainment at Boardwalk Hall, casino nightlife at Ocean Casino Resort and Hard Rock Atlantic City, plus great restaurants, clean free beaches, and year-round events people are finally rediscovering again.
I’ve said it before on my TV, radio, and social media — Atlantic City works when people live here, stay here, and invest here year-round.
That’s why projects like the new AtlantiCare and Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine campus matter. That’s why new townhome communities matter. And that’s why smart developers are getting in now before prices start looking like the rest of the Shore.
And credit where it’s due — the people helping push this momentum forward include Government of Atlantic City, Mayor Marty Small, tourism leaders like Visit Atlantic City President Gary Musich, developers like Bart Blatstein and Brian Zoubek, and local advocates including Pat Fasano who continue fighting for investment and visibility in the city.
For people looking for things to do in Atlantic City, the future isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
