Justin Figueroa Has Unfinished Business — And Atlantic City Is Behind Him
Hey Folks,
Listen, you might know Justin Figueroa from the ring. You might have seen him working the beach or putting in miles on the Boardwalk. But when he sat down with me on the red couch for The AC Mike Show, we got into what keeps this young man going — and why taking Atlantic City with him means so much. This is a guy you want to hear from. Justin is an Atlantic City professional boxer and a member of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol. In our conversation, he talks about his boxing roots, his Holy Spirit football and wrestling days, and the people around the Shore who have supported him along the way. And he’s thinking bigger than being known around town. He wants to bring a world title home to Atlantic City. That’s the kind of ambition I love hearing.

Two Moments I Want You To Hear
11:48 — The work nobody sees. Everybody sees the lights on fight night. Justin talks about the discipline it takes long before that bell rings, and he puts it this way: “It matters what you did in the dark.” Listen to that part. Whether you’re an athlete, building a business or working toward something for your family, there’s something there for you. Watch from 11:48 — the work nobody sees
26:35 — “Unfinished business.” Justin explains why he wants the rematch after his last fight ended in a no-contest. You can hear the change in his voice. This means something to him, and so does representing his hometown. Hear his side of what happened and why he’s eager to get back in that ring. Watch from 26:35 — unfinished business
These are two starting points within our full conversation, rather than separate short clips. There’s plenty more worth watching before and after them.
A Fighter, A Neighbor, An Atlantic City Story
We talk about his interest in joining the Atlantic City Fire Department, the history inside the Atlantic City PAL boxing gym, and what the Beach Patrol community means to him. And yeah, we get into having a good time, too — cruises, Vagabond and a Chef Vola’s veal parm story that’ll make you hungry. That’s what I enjoy about these conversations. You get to meet the person, hear the goals and have a few laughs along the way. Justin’s proud of where he’s from, and he wants people coming here to enjoy our hotels, restaurants and everything else this city offers.
What’s Coming Up
In the episode, Justin talks about a November 13 rematch at Tropicana Atlantic City with Boxing Insider Promotions. For current card announcements and ticket information, check Boxing Insider Promotions before making your plans.
