The Flyers Are Back in Atlantic City Tonight!
Hey Folks,
One of my favorite nights of the summer is finally here.
Tonight, I’ll be heading over to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City as the Philadelphia Flyers host their official 2026 NHL Draft Party. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., just before the first round of the NHL Draft gets underway at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN+. The Flyers currently hold the 21st overall pick, and it’s always exciting to see who’ll become the newest member of the Orange and Black.
The annual Draft Party benefits Flyers Charities and has become one of my favorite events of the year. It brings together hockey fans from across South Jersey and the Delaware Valley for a night that’s part celebration, part behind-the-scenes access, and all about the future of Flyers hockey.
A special thank you to Lauren Koranda, Manager of Communications for Comcast Spectacor, for the invitation and for everything she and the Flyers organization do to make this event such a great experience for fans and the media each year. Lauren and her team play a big role in bringing the Flyers to Atlantic City, and it’s always appreciated.
If you’ve listened to my radio show over the years, you know this event has produced some terrific conversations. I’ve had the opportunity to interview Flyers players, coaches, alumni, and front office executives, giving fans a chance to hear directly from the people building the future of the organization.
One of my favorite interviews came during a previous Flyers Draft Party when I had the opportunity to catch up with Flyers Head Coach Rick Tocchet. I’ve embedded that interview below so you can get a taste of the access these events provide.
That’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. It’s more than just watching draft picks come across the stage. It’s an opportunity to connect with the people behind the team, hear their vision for the future, and bring those conversations back to all of you.
This year’s party promises another fun evening with special appearances from Flyers personalities, Gritty, the Flyers Ice Team, fan giveaways, raffles, and plenty of excitement as the organization welcomes another young prospect. It’s also another great example of Atlantic City continuing to host major regional sporting events that attract visitors from throughout the Delaware Valley.
I’ll be there covering the action, catching up with some familiar faces, and hopefully bringing you a few exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes moments you won’t hear anywhere else. If history is any indication, there are always a few memorable surprises along the way.
